Course Overview

Realizing the importance of the computer applications Janata Shikshana Samiti has introduced this course from the academic year 2007-08. The college has well equipped computer laboratory with latest hardware and software’s like Latest Microsoft Windows based OS to Linux OS, Latest IDE packages related to Programming Languages like C, C++, Visual Basic along with latest Python language, and other packages like Oracle DBMS package, Tally Accounting Packages etc. and a well-qualified staff and adequate class room facilities.

The main aim of the course is to provide a nice platform for budding youngsters to acquire essential technique & knowledge in "Computer Applications". This course endeavour’s to impart the required skills to use computer to cater to the needs of various industries and other establishments. The course has been designed to meet the ever increasing demands in the areas of the Applications of the computer.


Main objectives of the Course:

The course has been incorporated with the latest developments in the Information Technology & the recent topics will also be taught in Six-Semesters
  • It provides the basic knowledge & prepares the students for professional areas.
  • It prepares the students with sufficient knowledge & skills to take up independent business & vacation.
  • It prepares the students especially to support the software industries dealing with it.

Opportunities

BCA & B.Sc.(C.S.) Graduates can join MCA, M.Sc. (C.S.) with fewer difficulties. The R&D establishment of Government, Wipro, Infosys other reputed MNC's require BCA & B.Sc.(C.S.) graduates. It has a very wide scope in different fields. Leading software companies are conducting campus interviews for BCA & B.Sc.(C.S.) graduates.


The Selection Procedure for the B.C.A /B.Sc. (C.S.) Course:

  • The candidates who are eligible in accordance with the norms of the Karnatak University will be called for written test & interview (at their own cost)by the Principal.
  • The candidates called for interview should be accompanied by their parents or Guardian who provides financial support to their studies at the college.
  • During interview, the candidate should submit the Original certificates for verification.
